A world of updates and a world of change!!!!

Hello all!
I am so sorry for the lapse in updating.  Lily has kept me quite busy lately.  The only time I am able to get on the internet is on my iphone!  I wanted to let everyone know how Lil's neurology appointment went.  We went on March 11, the day before Brandon's birthday, and she did great.  They poked and prodded her all over and they said she looked really good.  Her medication levels are at a .17 level.  The full therapeutic amount is .20, so she is steadily growing out of the medication.    With every pound and inch she is growing out of it.  We go back when she is 6 months old and at that time, she will (most likely) be grown out of her medication.  So, if we are going to see another seizure, it will most likely be soon (within the next 3 months).  That being said, hopefully, we never see another one!!!!
Here is her and her daddy at the appointment:

I  can't believe my baby is going to be 4 months old next week.  This 3rd month of her life has just been LOADED with milestones.  As I said in the last post, she is rolling from tummy to back, laughing, working hard at sitting up, grabbing for everything and FINALLY grabbing those feet and putting her toes in her mouth!!!  She loves grabbing at faces and LOVES grabbing hair!  She is super close to rolling from back to  belly, but that is a little bit harder to do.She is also in 6-9 month clothing.  Which honestly sucks because we didn't expect it to be 40 degrees outside when she is in 6-9 month clothes!!!!
She is just getting so big!
Today, Ms. Jennifer from ECI came and was shocked at how big Lily has gotten!  She weighs 18.2 lbs and is 26 1/2 inches long!  She is in the curve for her height/weight ratio, but on the very high side.  She looks like  a 6 month old though.  She has gained 4 lbs since the last time Jennifer was here.   Anywho, after talking to Jennifer, we decided that it was time to start cereal.  Instead of mixing it with formula, we are mixing it with water because Lily is hitting her daily caloric intake already.  We started it tonight and she did AMAZING!!! She was laughing and making all kinds of noises!
Here is the video:

Here are a few pictures from her eating...

Brandon gave her the spoon and told her to put it in her mouth.  This is what she did!

I have noticed Lily has had a piece of long hair in the back of her head and I have been dying to try a bow in it.  She wears bows, but they are usually on a headband.  This piece of hair is in the back of her head, so you can't really see it, but it's there!!!  It's been there for about an hour so far, so I think it's a winning place for a bow to go!
Here is the bow picture!

I am so excited this evening.  She is growing so fast and doing so many things, we can barely keep up!  We are very proud of her!  My heart aches though!  Before I know it, she will be in kindergarten.  Right now, she is sitting on my lap as I type this, cooing and "telling me what to write".  Anywho, I will try to update again soon.  So much happens so quickly, I want to keep track of it all!  I never want to forget these precious times!   Take care!

3 months old!

Hello all!
Well, this last week, Lily made 3 months old and she has had two BIG firsts this week! On the day she turned one month (March 1) she rolled over for the first time!
Here is that video:

She also LAUGHED for the first time on March 4th! It was just so amazing! Brandon and I were thrilled!
Here is a that video:
It really makes a lot of sense that she has done so much this last week because they say when they are going through a growth spurt or learning something new, they have trouble sleeping. Well, girlfriend has had trouble sleeping this past week. She has just been quite hard to get asleep and STAYING asleep once she gets in her bed. She will sleep her 8 hours still, but she gets up about 2 times before she will fall into a deep sleep. I'm not concerned though. We shouldn't have a problem as long as we keep putting her back in her bed.

Here are some things that Lily is doing at 3 months. As I said, she is just learning to roll over and laugh. She is sitting up with assistance. She is doing "baby sit-ups" (as Jennifer calls it) and tries to pull herself up when she holds onto our fingers. She is also doing great with weight bearing on her legs. Jennifer gave us that as homework and Lily loves to do that and make little jumps. She is starting to notice her legs and is kicking them all over, but not grabbing at her toes yet. When she is on her belly with her head up, she is trying to pull those legs up underneath her. She is holding her head up really well. She likes being read to and loves to go for walks. We try to do both at least once a day. She also likes to swing in her swing. After we swing, we sit outside and watch the kitties run around the yard. She really likes animals. I don't know if it is the age, but she just loves looking at animals!

The past few weeks, I am finding that she is getting over her Nuk (pacifier). She has to have it to go to sleep, but she really doesn't want it any other time.
Here are her nuk cues that I told Brandon about:
A good way to tell if she is ready to sleep is if she doesn't spit her nuk out. End of story, if she is tired, that nuk will stay in her mouth till she is in a deep sleep.
If she spits it out after a little while, but will take it, chances are, she is hungry.
If she doesn't take it at all, but is fussy, she is probably bored or wants to be held.
I love figuring this stuff out about her. Of course, I am able to do it because I am home with her all day, so that is nice. She is such a good baby, Brandon and I are very fortunate to have her in our lives. Hopefully, I will be able to update again soon!!!!
Here are some pictures of us at the rodeo!

5 seconds after the billy goat tried to eat her boot!!!

Here are a few of Lily's 3 month pictures...the good ones. The girl was horrible! If we had a better camera and set up, we would do it ourselves!

Now for the funnier ones:
